Photoshop help needed

I'm converting a bunch of baby pics to author as a slideshow DVD (TV type jobbie, VOB's etc)

I'm loading them into an application that requires imported image formats to be jpeg or bitmap.

I already have all the images converted to full size tiffs and have web sized jpegs, but no longer have the original .psd authoring files.

The (web sized) jpegs lose a lot of quality when viewed on a TV screen so I'm now trying to convert the full siz tiffs into bitmaps.

Most of them have converted OK but there's one particular tiff that I just can't convert.

If I go to Image>Mode, the bitmap option is greyed out and when I go to 'save as' bitmap is not listed as an option.

I've flattened the image and tried converting to different image modes/saving methods then tried saving as bitmap again.

I'm stumped

Anyone come across this problem?

SORTED!

I thought I'd post the solution or at least the workaround for anyone else that comes across the problem.

The tiff opened with a single background layer.

I duplicated the background layer and deleted the original background layer.

That then made all the mode and save as options available.

Have you tried or used a program called Pro Show Gold ??

http://www.photodex.com/

It a cracking piece of kit for showing your favorite pics/images - Its a lot more than just a slide show...... burns the show straight to a DVD as well for playing on TV or computer.

Thanks for the link...checking it out now.
The method I am using is a little long winded.

Bachs - as Mr Thx says Pro Show Gold is the way ahead.

Really easy to use and allows music to be put in the background, and has loads of different transitions.
