Printer Calibration

Hi Peops, Having calibrated my monitor with spyder 2 suit and installed printer calibration software (over the moon with colours on monitor now) Iam finding it very frustrating that I cant get my print colours to be exactly like my monitor colours, I dont know if Im just being dull or what, can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to alter the settings and match the printer up??. Maybe its my printer, it is a bit old, its an Epson stylus760.........what do you mean dinasour anyway thank you all in advance.

Re: Printer Calibration

I can't help with printer calibration as I haven't used it myself but have a PDF for printing correctly which I downloaded from Epson but can't find the link now. I get good accurate prints using this printing method, so if you'd like it pm me your email.
Ken.

Re: Printer Calibration

Do you have the software Spyder or the one with the printer Colorimeter? If the latter then it's all pretty automated. The former you have to try the default settings then print the control sheets. Tweaking is done manually until you are satisfied. The hardware solution costs more than most printers which is the downside. I don't have experience wth the Epson 760 but from what I can see it's a 3 cartridge model and as such probably not a photo printer so it will struggle to produce the whole gamut of colours from a photo.

http://www.pixalo.com/articles/Print...-Photoshop.php

That might help a little as it also covers printer profiles to some degree
