The Minster
I’ve gone and done it again, bought another lens. I should know better but I was tempted by a Zeiss Vario sonnar 16-80.
This may surprise you as I usually learn fast - you may recall that as soon as I found out that antibiotics stopped you getting an organism I stopped them immediately! However I digress. Bad weather has been stopping me trying the lens out so I tootled off to Beverley Minster to give it a whorl. The 16mm bit is the widest I’ve ever owned  Might do a black and white conversion on this    Now unfortunately the serious bit - a reminder of our past history that is relevant today

Thanks John.
Think so Des. The full size images look nice and sharp but it was a very dull day here I really need an average sort of day to find out how good the contrast and saturation is going to be.

Seems like it Dabs. I was thinking about an ultra wide zoom but I don't like changing lenses too often (because of dust) and this seemed to fit the bill better for me.

Thanks for the comments. I am not a great fan of HDR but the detail in the dark woodwork comes out better in mono
