G'Day from Uruguay
And that rhymes! Ever since I was very young, I made it my goal to travel the world. Having been born in Switzerland, I think I was going international before age one, in 1947 or 1948. I have been traveling full time since about 1968, working as a photographer, garbageman, aircraft electrician, cinematographer, construction helper, taxi driver, salesman, jewelry designer, set designer for major musical acts, orange juice squeezer, marijuana smuggler, contract employee for the State Dept ( Spook in Latin America) Pilot, Boat Captain, Author,Parasail operator, marine mechanic, kept husband, wholesaler and retailer of all kinds of goods sold at music festivals and art shows, father of one daughter, forensic photographer, boatnigger (pardon that expression, but I am allowed) diver, sailor, racecrew member, all round nice guy...and so forth etc etc.
I have traveled every continent, including Antarctica, Lived in uncounted number of countries and many tropical islands, made love to an ungodly number of girls, sailed the seven seas, and thought I had done it all, but there is still more of LatinAmerica, Quite a few Pacific Islands I have not hit yet, but what the hell, I am only 63... For now, I call Uruguay my home, and then maybe Paraguay for a while. If anyone has any really cool places, please send me suggestions. Monetary donations are acceptable as well.

Re: G'Day from Uruguay
I am godfather to all the loose and undernourished dogs and cats, wherever I go. My wife figures that we spend about $1000 per year, buying bones and meat, and cooking it all down with rice, and then putting it out for our new friends. We occasionally also spring to get animals spayed and neutered. I will post some photos soon of some of our closest friends. If you go to WIKIPEDIA, and look for images of KUTZI, you will find a heartwarming story of an "In the Nick of time" rescue in Mexico, that yielded us one of the most amazing and loyal friends ever.
Here is the link to that. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...ns6=1&redirs=1 Last edited by cruzansailor; 29-12-2009 at 23:54. Reason: Add hyperlink |
