Hi all,

I am Dutchie a beginner dslr lover. I am dying to get my hands on a Nikon D80. I have been experimenting with my Canon powershot s45 for 4 years and made some great pictures with it. But I am a bit stuck on the limits this camera has. I'm up for a new challenge. By the way I'm dutch, so excuse my writing sometimes

I have got an old slr with a few lenses but haven't done too much with that. So I do have a little experience with them heavy weights.

I've got 2 toddlers running around and I have been busy trying to make the ultimate pictures of them, which is a hell of a job I must say as they never sit still

Anyway, my aim is to learn and make it my big hobby.

When I have some time I will do some tutorials.

With two toddlers you will not be wanting for subject material - looking forward to seeing pictures of them soon. Please do not appologise for your English and/or writing. If I tried to write to you in Dutch, we would not get very far, let alone have a sensible dialogue!

If you have not done it already, have a look around the site, and if you need anything, just ask.

We only have one or two but generally they are kept under control.

Welcome Dutchie, great to see you here at Pixalo. This is a great place to meet other people who just love taking pictures.

I spent 5 months in Holland but many years ago now. I still love the place though and have friends in Apeldoorn and Deventer. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some of your pics, maybe bring back some happy memories.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It is nice to read all your comments. And I will post some of my photo's in the future. Uptill now I've only got pictures of the kids.

And it is great to speak to people who have all the same interest

Well ok, i will post some of my photo's. I can do with an honest opinion. It is not very easy to get the kids on the photo properly as especially our little boy can't sit still. I've got some other questions but will post them somewhere else.
