Hello, Anyone shoot drag racing?
Hi everyone. Looks like a friendly place. I am trying to improve the look of my drag racing photos. I just got a canon 70-300 usm is, it will take some getting used to but I can already tell it is sharper than my Tamra 28-300. Oh, I have a Canon 20D.
How bout Team Penning? Anyone out there shoot that? My friend runs some Playdays at her ranch and it is a blast to shoot team penning, you never know what those horses and cows will do next! Much more unpredictable than drag racing! Thanks for letting me in your community, I am going to take some time to look through some of ya' all's photos and maybe post some of my own. smadak |

Hi smadak and welcome to Pixalo. Coincidence....I used to have the 20D and 70-300, you won't regret buying either of them. Looking forward to seeing some shots

Hi smadak from another 20D owner.
Unfortunately I have never photographed drag racing but I have photographed F1 and World Rally Cars. As for 'Team Penning', whatever is that? Could you enlighten us English folks please?

Welcome to Pixalo. A member did recently post some drag racing pictures, but I can't remember when! I'll see if i can find them.
Am I right in thinking that team penning is essentially a group of people attempting to persuade an animal that it is much more fun to be confined to an enclosure than running around when and where it wants? If I'm right, it does not get too much coverage on this side of the Atlantic, but we do have 'one man and his dog', where one person and a dog try to do this. It is often edge-of-the-seat stuff, but usually only when you start to fall asleep!

 could you explain to me what team penning is ,as i have never heard of it . Is it anything like steer roping sort of thing .As from down under not used to some of these terms you use sorry
