Hi I'm new!
Hi there, just joined.   Site looks good, i love taking pictures, skills aren't great and no goodscourses to go on in this neck of the woods. Was thinking of joining a camera club - are they any good Thanks:

 Re camera clubs I have found them of use if looking for some local inspiration of shots to take etc, but find forums such as here at Pixalo help me improve my photographic skills. So , space for both I reckons

Welcome to Pixalo, your Highness
 I used to be a club member, but my irregular working hours made me miss so many club nights, I eventually stopped going. However, they can be an excellent social and technical resource, and if you can find one you feel at home in, I would suggest it is at least worth trying. Every club will have its own 'personallity', and I bet some are better than others. Bit like photo web-sites really........

Hi & welcome to the site, it's one of the friendliest around. I've tried a couple of local camera clubs, but have got more advice from here. My local club has an average age of around 80+ or at least that's what it felt like, they were really friendly, but no get up & go & try anything different.
