Hi from Poole, UK

Hi, my name is Rob (oh you guessed, ok!) and I live in the beautiful coastal town of Poole in Dorset.

I am photography mad, have been since I got my first camera aged 8 and am now middle-aged! I am a Canon nut and work almost entirely digitally these days though am not averse to the odd roll of slide film when the mood takes me.

I give tuitional lectures on using Photoshop to camera groups, individuals and basically anyone who asks! However, I am a firm believer that the good photographer looks to get the best shot in camera. Adjustments to improve a shot are fine but you can't make a bad photo into a good one so get it right as much as possible!

If you think digital isn't real photography, please DON'T write and tell me as I am sick to death of the boring arguments about this. I create pictures by recording light onto a light sensitive medium: THAT is photography :o)

My main loves are wildlife and macro but I take anything that makes a good picture so landscapes, portraits, abstract and so forth are all things I am likely to do at times.

I love hearng from people as mad about photography as I am so feel free to get in touch. Alweays good to hear from like-minded people.

I'm sure you won't get any argument about that here Rob, I think most of the regulars use digital!

Thanks Angela, I love both digital and film but digital lets me produce my own photos as I no longer have my darkroom. A lightroom is a lot cleaner too <g>

Have only just found this forum but I absolutely love it. I shall be sending a few friends over to join, they're all as mad on photography as I am :o)
