I already did this for the previous forum, so Hi to all those from last time.

My gallery is linked through the image in my sig, feel free to have a look through, a critical eye would be appreciated too.

Currently using a Canon Powershot S2 IS, which is a great starting camera, and hoping to be using an SLR by the end of the year (if not early next).

Hi Nick - good to have you back, and looking forward to seeing some more aircraft in the forums. I like your website but...well you did ask for critique....I found myself waiting for the large images to load. IMO you'd be better having a smaller image (of which you we can see all) and a link to the f/s image.

Either way I enjoyed looking at so many different aircraft.

Ref SLR, get it earlier & make the most of the decent light I've never photographed aircraft, so was thinking about going to Fairford airshow, but a birdie told me it was £31

Yeh, Fairford is this weekend (15th and 16th July). Its brilliant if you don't mind missing half of it. You're right, it is 31 quid, which is VERY expensive. There are often a lot of people who "rent" their fields to visitors for the day. Just pay to park your car and watch the airshow from there.

I was meant to be working there this year, but they had too many folks. So next year I should be going. RAF Cosford is a fantastic one to go to, and at only £13 on the gate, you can't go far wrong.

If anyone is in the Bournemouth area, try poping into the airport museum, if you pre-arrange it, I can get you into the engineering hanger and beyond the tape (where visitors aren't allowed).
