Introduction
I first got into photography back when I was a teenager in the '70s, with an all manual Zenit B 35mm SLR, developing my own B&W negatives & doing enlargements. Then had a long break when I moved away from my parent's home & lost use of darkroom, started getting back into it last year when I upgraded my phone to one with a camera (Nokia 9500, 640x480).
On holiday in the Scottish Highlands last year I took a few nice shots, but realised that I'd need something better to make decent sized prints from, so I got a cheap & cheerful 6MP compact (Lumicron 618z). After a while, I found the limitations a bit of a pain (having to wade through menus to set anything etc.) so decided I needed a "propper" camera. Finaly got a Fuji S9500 a few months ago. I think this will keep me happy for a while, but I think I might try getting back in to film sometime. I particularly like doing landscapes, but I do try to carry the camera with me most of the time, and grab shots of anything that sparks my interest. |

Re: Introduction
Thanks, Stepheno. I'm afraid it might be a while before I can come of with the Highland Landscapes, the only ones I've got are on my phone camera, but I do hope to get up there with the Fuji again sometime.
In the meantime, I've posted a couple of other shots to the Sharing Forum. I'll have to suss out how to use the member's gallery!

Re: Introduction
Hi Alex & welcome. Good to see another photographer who dabbled with B&W in the past
Must admit I've been impressed with shots in the past by the Fuji S7000, so looking forward to more shots by your model |
