Hi all... new to Pixalo, but enjoy seeing photos and posting a few of my own. Here's a suggestion for the Pixalo web masters... create a function that resizes our photos automatically (like Flickr). One of the reasons that I don't post more pics is because I don't want to hassle with figuring out what re-sized file will fit into Pixalo requirements. Am I missing something here that already does this?
Okay, my 2 cents. Michael |

Re: New member with a suggestion
In the Photo Sharing and Critique members are able to choose a size (within limits) which they prefer for their shots. The gallery will automatically resize if the file is too large. Resizing is really quite a simple process and you can view a tutorial on how to resize here. Hope that helps and by the way......welcome to Pixalo
PS if you have a look in the Links and Downloads Section you will find a Photoshop action that will automate it for you. Last edited by stepheno : 26-01-2007 at 16:37. Reason: Aded PS |

Re: New member with a suggestion
Welcome to Pixalo. To be honest the auto resize functions of most sites cause quite a drop in image quality. It's always best to use the like of Photoshop to resize shots to ensure maximum image quality is maintained.
If you do have shots on FLICKr, you can use the URL load facility of gallery to upload them there, or you can post image directly in the forum threads using the IMG icon on the rply box (icon of mountain) |
