hello to you folks, my name is helen and i found your site quite accidently, and pleased i did, i was trying to find a photographic printer at the time still not sure what to go for at present im looking at epson r800 any help on this matter would really bless me ty Ducky x |

Welcome to Pixalo RubberDucky
I found this thread comparing the HP 8450 and the r800. There are probably more references here too, but maybe not as threads. might be worth serching r800 and selecting show posts rather than threads. I expect many members use this printer, so perhaps a post in the general photo Q's and A's will give you a better response. |

Hi Helen,
I'm new too, welcome ![]() I've got the Epson R800 and I love it, great A4 shots though mine prints a little dark, my fault not the printer, I'm still new to printing and only do the basic. It's not very forgiving of other types of paper, so if you want to use other papers you'll have to experiment or get recommendations, don't try Kodak inkjet quality photo paper, prints are nosiy in the background, or at least they are for me ![]() I originally wanted the A3 Epson printer, R2400 but didn't have room, but I'm pleased so far with the R800 and looking forward to more printing. |
