Very green Newbie here
Hi all,

I have been lurking for a couple of days and enjoy the forum and have learnt a fair bit already.

I am a complete novice and just learning about some very basic stuff by tinkering with the settings on my little Coolpix. As this has brought some interesting results already I have decided to get into the hobby a bit more.

The next step for me is to learn a bit more about photography in general from a technial point of view and then invest in an entry level Digital SLR.. not decided on the Nikon/Cannon debate yet although I am sure you will all be keen to give me your perspective on that one . I have always had Nikon compacts so far so you can see which way I lean already.

Any way, I hope you can put up with the occasional dumb question when I can't google a clear answers for myself.

Will stick up some of my photo's for you to have a look at. And laugh at. :lol:
