Re: Christmas Kermit
A nice little Kermit there! Is it rare (seeing as you guys don't get that many frogs)?

Re: Christmas Kermit
Hi Mark.
Haven't a clue whether it's rare, native, exotic...NZ does have frogs but we hardly ever see one around here because it's so dry. I switched on the fountain in the rock pool and it was there the next day - maybe it got attracted to the splashing. Best of all - they make good subjects because they don't move/blink even when you go right up to them. Ideal for a beginner like me.

Re: Christmas Kermit
That first shot is excellent!!
![]() 2nd looks a bit overexposed + not as impressive a viewpoint as the first ... but getting just one great shot is enough! |

Re: Christmas Kermit
Well caught. Like first best. They add interest and controll pests both to a pool or garden pond. If you're lucky, it'll have a mate and reproduce. We had that occur in our Koi pond. Watching the little ones became a daily thing.
