Very very good, Dabhand16!! If you have to have a border, I think I'd prefer a colour which blends in with the picture colours - i.e. blue - as the black border spoils it for me; but the picture itself - love it

Just spotted your kind comment, Charlotte. It is actually a scan of a slide that has been cropped with tinfoil! The black 'border' is in fact the shadow cast by the tinfoil, and the softness is due to the fact that my scanner does not seem to be able to cope with the fact that mounted slides do not touch the plattern!

I quite like the photo, though, so decided to post it.
