As the repeating patterns of the roof are the essence of this shot, a crop from the bottom to the foot of the steps at the end of the corridor, or even to the feet of the bloke on the RHS on the first level + some cloning of the sign on the LHS (and in this shot with that crop, the people too), will make the top of the picture the focal point.

Nice shot as it is though.

Many thanks for your suggestions Graham, I think you're right, it's a bit cluttered. I was quite shocked at all the 'stuff' that was lying around all through the Cathedral. Many shots were made awkward by the clutter - they're an untidy lot!
