Really like this...what are the small marks above / below the eye? smooth that out with some soft focus and it would be a 10. Still with that said it's a great shot - love the mono. cheers cotter

I suspect the marks are actually in focus skin, as they correspond with the DoF. Great shot, and one I would not be able to reproduce, but could the DoF be a little greater to get the whole eye in focus from the corner of the eye to where the Dof is now rather than just the curve of the eye?



I also think that with a greater doF, the shot would not be very flattering, as the skin in focus will resemble the surface of the moon!! This would require some PS work to make it as smooth as the baby's b****m.

Great shot! Does the DOF really drop off that quick though, above & below the eye....or is that PS work ?

Thankyou all. Dabhand is correct, it is the focussing line. Dave, no PS work done on it at all, straight scan and resized - and, as far as I can remember, it wasn't sharpened either, which is why I probably like it so much!
