Bought this back in April 2006 from Hong Kong. I wanted a long focal length zoom and this fitted the bill without breaking the bank. I mainly use this lens when I am photographing helicopters and Red Deer.
I have used it on a Nikon D50, D80 and now the D200 with some good and bad results, mainly my doing not the lens. You have to learn how to use this one, its not as simple as attaching to the body and away you go. I use it with a monopod pretty much all the time as it is difficult to hand hold.
Its not a fast lens, but if you were researching this then you would know that. At F4 at 50mm its OK but at F6.5 at 500mm you may need to crank up the ISO. Sweet spot is between 100 and 400mm F8-F11. The only thing I miss is image stabilisation, if it had this it would be a really good lens.
