I have had this flash gun for a while now, but havent used it that much. the reason is that I still dont really know how to use it! Therefore, take my review with a pinch of salt. 
I used it recently for some outdoor macro work, where it worked really well. I had the camera on the tripod and used a wireless shutter release. I had the flashgun in my other hadn and was able to hold it where-ever I wanted to. the onboard flash on the D70 works in Commander mode, and allows both flashes to fire together. This I think is really useful.
ANyway, I hope this can be of some use to someone!

I've had this speedlight for a while and I haven't used it all that much either.
But for the jobs I've used it for, it has given me some great results. It takes a while to figure out how it works. And I'm sure I can do loads more. I just need to go out more for shoots, only at the moment that is just not possible.
I did choose this one over the sb800, simply because of the price difference. But I might go for that one in the near future, as it would do me for my portrait shots.
So this review is not much help either, I'm sorry. But if you are looking for a good speedlight, then I would certainly advice you to consider this one.
