Pros:
|
Fast, easy to use, weather proofing, wide iso range

|
Cons:

Heavy,

Well the main reason I moved up to this camera from the D60 was for the faster shooting speeds, increased iso range and the fact that I can still take pictures with this camera in the ****ing down rain.
It took me a while to get used to the menu features after using the D60 but once learned it is much quicker to make the changes you require.
The battery life is also very good although it does take a couple of full charge and then refresh cycles to get the battery working at full capacity.
The AI focusing on the mk2 is the best I have used and the quality of the images produced from the sensor is stunning, even at the high end of the iso range.
The feel of the camera is one that is robust and sturdy, it is fairly heavy but for the sort of work I do im sure it could double up as a club and still be perfectly operable afterwards
All in all I give this camera a big and I don't think that I will have to upgrade for some time. If you can get your hands on one of these 2nd hand for the right price I would recomend getting it.

Pros:
|
build, focus speed, weather proofing, metering
|
|
Cons:
|
weight, two button menu system slow compared to 20D
|

I bought this recently second hand with only 2400 actuations as an upgrade to my 20D. First impressions were the size and weight of the camera, definitely not something to use if you don't want to be noticed.
Results are impressive so far, focus speed and metering performance in various situations has been nothing short of excellent. The 8.5 FPS is if anything too high, a slight touch on the release resulted in 3 or 4 frames before I adjusted to it.
Build quality is brilliant, it feels like you could bounce it off the pavement and not worry about it.
1.3X crop takes a bit of adjusting to after coming from the 1.6X 20D but overall a great camera.
