Well spyder 2 pro.
I got a copy of this from warehouse express for £150.00, it comes bundled with printfix plus as well.
After installing the software I set about calibrating my monitor, the on screen instructions are very easy to follow but it is worth reading as much as you can about the software and help files etc before starting, if you cant get the screen to do as it is told by the software it can get very frustrating. If I had read the f###### manual 1st I would not have experienced the problems I did. After reading the instructions and help files it took minutes to calibrate my monitor.
Profiling the printer was fairly easy as well and the print detail (shadow highlight) etc is now much better. The problem I had was it all seemed too easy. That was untill I started trying to apply the profile in PS etc. Still a lot to learn about profiles but I think this was a step in the right direction.

Printfix Plus Is a bit perplexing
|
|
I got the Spyder2 Suite including the Print Fix Plus For £95 off Ebay and found it very easy to setup and calibrate the monitor, The results are great it really brings out the skin tones etc & on landscape shots its like being there. The printer calibration software was just as easy to setup but trying to get a photo's colours to be exactly like they are displayed on the monitor is a bit of a task (still havn't managed to get it right) having said that my printer isn't the most recent, all in all I'm very impressed with my purchase
