The Expedition 5 is the perfect mid-size pack for a wide range of photo equipment.

This medium size pack offers foam-padded protection and quick access to multiple SLRs, lenses, flash and accessories. The main compartment is completely foam padded with numerous adjustable, foam-padded dividers to protect digital or film SLRs, 5-7 lenses, and a flash. The camera with a long zoom lens attached is suspended on two vertical, foam-padded dividers that are internally reinforced with rigid plastic. A restraint strap holds the lens firmly in place. Two Windowpane-Mesh™ pockets inside the front flap visibly organize filters, film and other accessories. A plastic, foam-padded platform in the bottom provides shock protection while a LockDown™ rain flap protects the zipper from the elements. A large front pocket with a water-resistant zipper holds a light jacket or extra gear.
“Wing” Accessory Pockets
Dual "wing" pockets with water-resistant zippers organize and provide quick access to important accessories without disturbing your other gear. These "wing" pockets also feature Tamrac's U.S.- patented Memory & Battery Management System™ that uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that have been used up.
QuickClip™ Tripod Attachment System
A tripod is cradled (centered and balanced) securely between these pockets with Tamrac's QuickClip™ tripod attachment system while the lower, plastic-reinforced Tripod Foot Pocket holds two of the tripod legs secure.
The Harness
The state-of-the-art harness system with Dual-Density Comfort Pads provides maximum carrying comfort while Air Flow Channels help keep you cool and dry during extended use. The pack is also equipped with an adjustable waist belt and an expandable sternum strap for finer adjustments. The harness features "D" rings that accept Tamrac's optional backpack camera strap (Model N-11).
M.A.S.™ and S.A.S.™ Compatible
Strap Accessory System™ (S.A.S.™) and Modular Accessory System™ (M.A.S.™) attachment slots on the pack provide a convenient place to carry Tamrac's optional M.A.S.™ and S.A.S.™ products. Four SpiderTabs™ provide additional attachment points for expedition equipment or extra clothing.

I have had this bag about ten months now and overall it is a very nice comfortable bag to walk around with.
Plenty of room for my 1D MKII,Lenses & access.
The two outer pockets on the back are a nice touch and are used for various bits and bobs (namely ipod, sun glasses or a bar of chocolate).
All zips are supposedly water sealed.
The only annoyance is that the stitching has slightly come away on one of the shoulder straps and how long it will hold is anyones guess.

The tripod carrier is only for mini pods.

I had one of these bags for about 2 years before upgrading to the Tamrac 8 bag, due to an increase in my gear.
This bag comfortably held, 2 bodys, a 400mm lens, 100mm lens, flash, and small zoom lens. Was used very reguarly and shows now sign of any real wear and tear. And would still have it if hadn't needed more room for my macro kit.

just got this bag and it is big enough for all my gear ( canon 400d and fuji 9500, with 3 lenses) and with plenty room for growth with being able to add accesories to it.
comfortable to carry with good supporting straps which are essential if u are going to be carrying it out and about for while.
Tripod holder is handy although with a bigger tripod it tends to pull it back and has to be removed to get access to the gear. would suit a more compact tripod.
all in all a nice sized bag with plenty padding and scope.!
