Pros: Compact, easy to use, TIFF and RAW format
Cons:

I purchased this camera about a year ago and just love using it. I personally don't have any experience with any other DSLR's, but do love this one. For someone just starting out with DSLR's, I would high encourage them to look into the E-300.

Pros: easy to use, light weight, hardy
Cons: High ISO more noise than other brands

This camera was given to me after I had sold my canon equipment 2 years ago.

It was more necessity than choice however its always been up to the job, Olympus are quirky but even now at 6 years old proves a worthy second body.

The only thing that does bug me with it is over ISO 400 noise is more noticeable than on say the canon.

It works well with the cheaper OM lenses and produces some good results

The dust removal system thats on all Olympus has served well

Now the body is dated but it is still a fairly lightweight and easy to hold camera, and at 8MPX it can still keep up to date with my photography needs.
