Whether you want to produce spreadsheets, colour posters, cards, or everyday business correspondence, the printer handles media sizes from postcard/A6 to poster/A3+ and weights up to 74 lb (280 g/m2).

Features

Versatile
• The HP Deskjet 9300 printer uses HP PhotoREt III to produce vibrant, natural colour. This colour-layering technology creates smooth, continuous tones in images that vividly convey your creative and commercial messages. Now even small businesses and home offices can produce professional-quality printouts.
• Reduce your wait time for office printing. The HP Deskjet 9300 printer delivers monochrome printing at speeds up to 14 ppm, and colour images at 11 ppm, in Draft mode.
• The HP Deskjet 9300 printer features three media paths for increased flexibility and to accommodate more choices of media. Use the straight-through paper path to print on heavy or special media up to 74 lb (280 g/m2) in weight. Envelopes, transparencies, and heavyweight stock travel through the printer smoothly, and the printed output doesn’t curl like you might expect from some other printers.
• Choose the media size that best conveys your creative or marketing message. Whether you want to create spreadsheets, colour posters, cards, or everyday business correspondence, the HP Deskjet 9300 handles media sizes from 4 x 6-inch postcards to 13 x 19-inch posters.

Simple
• Get the effect you want by choosing from a wide variety of media types. The HP Deskjet 9300 printer produces professional-quality images on plain, glossy, photo, and HP specialty papers; transparencies; iron-on transfers; cardstock and heavy media; labels; posters and banners; and regular and oversized envelopes. With three available paper paths, you’ll discover how easy it is to use the perfect media for every job.
• Get your point across with authority and create a professional image. The pigment black ink in HP ink cartridges produces sharp, laser-like inkjet images that make your monochrome documents easy to read and impressive to look at. HP cartridges deliver smear-proof ink that holds up under frequent handling.
• You can print with confidence knowing that you own a printer that is based on a proven HP product design and backed by HP's reputation for quality and reliability. The HP Deskjet 9300 printer is sturdy enough to handle multiple printing tasks that your small business or home office generates. You won't need to outsource your print jobs and can instead rely on this printer's robust, 5,000-sheet-per-month duty cycle.

Pros: It came FOC, passable print quality,
Cons: Fat and wide, noisy printing, slow colour printing

Having "borrowed" (long term) one of these from work I've tried a few print outs from it, and I have to say they're not bad, it's not a quick printer but as I only intend to print the odd photo it works for me. I have to say that it is quite noisy when printing as it does "clunk and bang" a bit, it's also rather wide so placing this printer may cause a problem or two!

Over all I have to say that for a two cartridge printer the results are more than passable as I have couple of Avro Lancaster shots that I'm going to print and get framed.

Plus points.
Prints to A5 A4 A3 and A3 plus paper.
Passable print quality.
Easy to setup.
Easy to maintain.
Easy cartridge replacement.

Minus points.
It's a large printer.
It's slow at colour printing. (If like me you only intend to print a few photo's then it's more than faster enough)
It's a bit noisy when printing.
A3 Plus paper pick up is a bit hit and miss. (Best to give it a helping hand to get it started)

Would I
Have one? yes as this one came free!!!
Have a HP printer? No, HP make good printers for the office but not so good for the likes of us photogs.
Buy one? No I would look at Epson or Canon or Lexmark multi cartridge printers.
I go elsewhere for A3 printing? Maybe depending on my photo printing needs at that time.

I'm not trying to knock HP but at the end of the day there is a large choice of A3 printing, if you are tight for space then Snappy Snaps or your local photo printing shop may well be worth a visit, or go see a friend who has an A3 printer!!

As always hope it helps
