Description: Apparently the Lambency Flash Diffuser produces the softest warmest light yet. Great for close up, portraits and events The Lambency Flash Diffuser is made of soft, transparent vinyl, and currently comes in two colors - CLEAR and CLOUD. All other diffusers "point" the light forward like a flashlight. Lightsphere is the only diffuser that lights up the entire room, softening your images tremendously.

The light quality transmitted through the CLEAR is somewhat cooler and a little more contrasty when compared to the CLOUD. The Lambency-CLEAR maximizes diffusion while minimizing light loss, allowing it to be used at greater distances. The CLEAR is highly recommended for photojournalistic assignments and general purpose photography.

The Lambency-CLOUD creates a more diffuse, softer, and somewhat warmer light. For this reason, it is well suited for "portrait style" lighting situations, where skin tones and flattering light are the primary focus.

These diffusers can be obtained at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Hong-Kong-Supplies

Pros: About 20% price of Gary Fong version
Cons: Bit of a tight fit on Nikon SB800

First off these appear to be direct rip offs of the Gary Fong Diffuser. But at 20% the price of the Fong vsn, you can see why people are tempted by them....although I would love to see a test between the two.

Have tested this at a family do, & have to say I was impressed with the results. Very consistent lighting of the subjects, without harsh shadows....although you do look a plank with this think on your camera

You can tell these things are built to a budget, as the hole the flash fits in to, looks as though it has been cut out with a stanley knife ....... but if it works, it works
