For most of us, a tripod is hardly used as we complain it weighs too much to carry when we go out. So for me it was essential the tripod was lightweight, yet still sturdy enough to do the job.
Well this tripod fits the bill nicely. The use of carbon fibre legs has kept weight to a minimum. With a head attached, & column fully extended it will easily reach 6ft to the viewfinder of a normal SLR. With a splitable column it's also possible to spread the tripod legs wide to get ultra low shots. Best of both worlds 
The foam sleeves to the legs make for comfy carrying, plus also keep you hands that bit warmer , for those brave enough to shoot outside in the winter 
I honestly don't think the tripod can be beaten for the money
