Pros:	Great prints, ease of use, direct CD/DVD printing, Memory card slot
Cons:	Cost of original inks (but that is the same with all printers)

This is my 3rd or 4th Epson and i really love the brand and this printer hasn't failed to live up to my expectations. It takes 6 ink cartridges and as with all printers the originals aren't cheap so doing lots of A4 photo printing you'd soon get through them, thats really my only critism with this printer. I only use originals and i buy the inks in packs of 6 from http://www.inkprovider.com/index.html which works out about £6.27 a cartridge delivered which i think is pretty good for originals. It take a range of papers from 6X4 upto A4. Epson Easy Photo Print is the software that comes with the printer for photos which is a extrememly simple to use; Select photos -> select paper size and type -> then layout and print.

The colours are rich and nicely saturated when printing on quality paper, it has a built in memory card reader for all the most common types of cards and a USB slot again thats very handy at times. One of the really useful functions with the R340 is the ability to print directly onto CD/DVD's and if you by decent branded media the quality is very good. You just pull down a special flap and place the printable disc onto a dedicated tray and your away. I often like to copy music cd's that i own to have a copy in my car and print some artwork on them, much better than silver discs with marker pen writen all over them (I must stress here that it is only legal to copy original music CD's to CD-R media for your OWN USE not for anyone elses). I have also used this function to put photos on disc for my family and friends then produce some artwork and print them onto the CD's, they can look very professional. All the necessary software comes with the printer to be able to do this.

I'm sure this printer has come way down in price as i bought mine about 3 years ago and was a little pricey i thought at the time but for if you can get it cheaper then this photo printer comes highly recommended.
