Description: Scott Kelby, author of the world's #1 bestselling Photoshop book, The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers, brings his same award-winning, step-by-step, plain-English style, look and feel to The Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers.

This groundbreaking new book doesn't just show you "which sliders do what" (every Lightroom book does that). This book takes you beyond that to reveal the secrets of the new digital photography workflow, and he does it using three simple, yet brilliant techniques that make this just an incredible learning tool:

#1) Throughout the book Scott shares his own personal settings and studio tested techniques he's developed using Lightroom for his own photography workflow since well before Adobe released even the first Beta version. He knows what really works, what doesn't, and he tells you flat out which tools to use, which to avoid, and why.

#2) The entire book is laid out in a real workflow order with everything step-by-step, so you can jump right in using Lightroom like a pro from the very start and sidestep a lot of productivity killing road blocks and time-wasting frustrations that might have tripped you up along the way.

#3) But what really sets this book apart from the rest, are the last two bonus chapters. This is where Scott visually answers his #1 "most-asked" Lightroom question, which is: "Exactly what order am I supposed to do things in, and where does Photoshop fit in?"

Pros: This should be the Lightroom Manual
Cons: None I can think of

Like all of Kelby's Books this one is probably the best Adobe Lightroom Book it covers everything you need to know about Lightroom . Remember Lightroom has so may features it turns complicated if you dont know how to use them, this book makes it so simple you want to get started right away.
it teaches you how to:

Import your photos
Label and organize you photos
How to Quick develop your Photos
The basic editing tools, like WB
Correcting Red eye, How to Crop, how to remove unwanted spots, etc.
Create Black and whites, and it teaches you how to make black and whites work for you.
Create slides shows with Lightroom, how to export them to PDF. how to share online.
It teaches you everything you need to do and know about printing thru Lightroom.
It teaches you workflows on Wedding, Landscape, Portrait, Nature Photography.
It teaches you how to manage Custom Presets and Templates
Applying Keywords with the Stamper.
Reducing Noise.

Like I said this should be the Lightroom Manual.
remember to register your book to get updates .

Pros: Well written ,entertaining plus real life examples given
Cons:

I'm reviewing this book on basis I have already used Lightroom for last 5 months.

Book is very well written, with lots of real life examples of where to use certain functions. I actually like the fact the author isn't afraid to dismiss certain functions in lieu of others.

All areas of Lightroom are covered & there are an excellent couple of step by step process steps for Wedding shoot & Landscape shoot

Even though I found I knew 80% of what Lightroom could do already, it's that last 20% this book showed me, that will make the big difference in my workflow. You''' find plenty of tips on how to speed things up &make life easier overall

So for newbies to Lightroom, this book is recommended. For those already experienced in Lightroom I reckon a couple of the tips will save you enough time / money to justify the purchase of the book

Pros: easy to read, comprehensive
Cons: none

I love this book. It has become my bible for Lightroom. (Which I consider the best Digital photography tool yet.)
