A section on special techniques explores such options as deliberate under-and over-exposures, how to produce double exposures, bracketing, shooting the moon, and the use of filters. Understanding Exposure demonstrates that there are always creative choices about how to expose a picture - and that the decision is up to the photographer, not the camera.

This was one of the first books i read when i first got into photography. It is a real breeze to read without introducing to much jargon early on.
It starts with a chapter on 'Defining exposure' followed by chapters on Aperture, Shutter Speed, Light, Special techniques and filters and finally finishes off with a chapter on 'Film Vs Digital. Its full of great photographs demonstrating each technique or principle.
All in all a very good informative read although i doubt experienced togs would come away with much new knowledge. But for newcomers or the fairly new to the game its a must read, really liked this book
