Pros:
Another support tool for your arsenal
Cons:
Might not be that useful
I'd wondered how useful these Super Clamp jobbies would be so got some second hand ones last month. I'll be honest and say they won't get much use but for a tenner each, I'm not going to lose any sleep over the cost.

Looks fairly sensible with my 488 ballhead.
2
Bit more flexible
3
Very handy if you CBA to rearrange or move your subject
The part N# is 035 and you'd need a 037 1/4 & 3/8 spigot to mount stuff on it.
4
Note the detachable plastic wedge to square the jaws up

The clamp is rated for 15Kg. I recently tried this arrangement, mounting a camera to a tree to try some overhead shots of a local cyclo cross race. The clamp worked fine but I didn't position the camera that well so didn't get anything useful. (Plus it was raining hard and I didn't protect the camera)
They can be used for all sorts of things but I'd suggest using a reasonable ball head if you want to mount a camera.

Pros:
Well built sturdy versatile
Cons:
Heavy bulky
These have been around for a long time and you will find them in a lot of studios. I like them to support strobes and occasionally a camera. I will try not to duplicate anything Mike has said in his excellent review but I'll concentrate why they can work well with other bits of kit. Manfrotto make a lot of accessories including hooks extension arms etc etc and they all bolt together. I know that Mike uses his with a head and that's an option but can be a little bit limiting when using it with a pole or vertical mounting. For that you can use the mini extension arm part number 203 with a ball head
but I prefer to use the Tilt-Top Head/Umbrella holder. part number 155 as this can be used for a lot of uses and will double as a ball head. Here is how it is often used. I have used it on a door like this in the past for the wedding dressing shots in a small bedroom where a tripod would get in the way too much.
This folds down small enough to keep in a pocket or gadget bag but will hold a fair bit. They do get used quite a lot (most recently in a garage shoot to hold strobe heads) but if you are planning to use them outside get the 035X which is rust proof.

A further update on from Vinny's
The 155 accessory is very useful and I used one to hold my 20D up for some remote shots at a recent Tae Kwon Do demo.
I've also been eyeing up some of the Magic arms as well though don't really want to spend 'tripod' money on an occasional use tool
